i have a fortec star ultra and it uses pansat 2500 files i have flashed the receiver with bin 293 2 times but my receiver is frozen on the language screen its says english if i press ok it goes to installation but when i try to exit it again goes to language screen english. please help me out with this problem. i thought flashing the receive again would solve the problem but it does not solve the problem
Do you mean it REBOOTS to the language screen? I would load a factory file (2500, that is) and then 293T again. Default, turn off auto tp, cc, and setup sats and rescan.
Daminder. First of all you should never user the Pansat BL files on a Fortec Ultra. Always use the Pansat 2500 clone files ending with T. The latest is 293T. Sometimes with the installation of 293T on top of 290T, there has been a problem. If you have not fried your receiver do the following:
1. Do factory reset. 2. Turn off the receiver. 3. Install 280T or 281T BIN. 4. Now install 293T BIN. 5. restore user settings, particularly the date/time and time zone. 6. Restore DisEqC connections if any. 7. Scan at least one sat. 8. You should see picture. 9. Restore the rest of the system as you want it.
If your receiver is already fried using BL 293 BIN, do a Jtag. Look at the follwoing sites for more info and files: http://www.totalfta.com
nalin, thanks for the info but the problem is my receiver is stuck at language screen and i cannot do a factory reset too and also some of my funtions on the remote control are also not working and i try to exit the language screen but it stays there. if i press okay it goes to installation but it freezes again and if i shut the powe off it again goes back to the language screen
