i ignorantly reset my factory setting. ok got the transponder to work but did a blind scan and now im getting double channels and missing ppv's should i do just a satelite scan and NOT a blin scan??
Blind scans are useful only for true FTA (usually moveable dishes) and you are trying to scan for transponders on strange sats. On our standard sats, say for DN, the transponders are already known and included on our list. We're not going to find any new TPs on those sats.
If DN adds and new TPs and we start losing channels, we will know via boards like these and then Blind Scan may come into play. Right now, on fixed dishes, a blind scan is just a waste of time.
