Guys,

I am using Fortec Star Ultra with DN. It is working great but I recently bought Plasma TV and was wondering if there is anyway I can get HD quality with this receiver? If not, is there any HD programmed receiver in market? Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Definitely no HD TV using Fortec Ultra.
I am only aware of Collsat 8000, which gives limited HD on BEV. There are new HD receivers by Sonicview and Viewsat. More information can be obtained at

If you want receive all DN HD channels, you need

SonicView 8000HD receiver -$499.00
8psk Sub-board -$ 128.00
8psk module -$200-$300

Now think do you realy want to spend $800-$900 , just to recieve 30 HD channels??

You connect 8psk module to 8psk sub board (adapter) and install in to SonicView 8000HD .

8psk module: to receive mpeg4 HD channels .

Too early to buy HD receivers unless if you don't care spending extra money for less value, subscribe to HD for few months if you are craving for HD or get an HD Antenna until better HD receiver come on board.

Big waste of money
