Hi guys Im just wondering whats the difference between these four categories and when exactly should I use them? Scan SAT* Scan TP* Scan all* Blind Scan*
This answer will depend on the type of receiver you use, but I will give you the simple version:
Scan SAT - This will scan the entire sat based on a predefined list of Transponders which is loaded by either SatInfo file and in some cases included in the bins.
Scan TP - This option will scan a specific transponder (only the specified transponder is scanned in this process)
Scan All - This scans all available channels on the sat you are scanning (encripted or otherwise)
Blind Scan - This scans the satelite and updates your transponder list based on the active transponders on that Sat.
As far as when to use any of these will depend on what your receiver is. Viewsats automatically look for active Transponders when doing a regular scan so there is no need to do a Blind Scan.
