My ex-boyfriend installed the Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra receiver in our home and one of his friends used to download new software whenever we could no longer access BEV and DISH channels.
I have no clue how he downloaded the software or what the software is. Well my boyfriend is now out of the picture and I need to figure this out on my own.
I think I could use a Fortec for Dummies because all I know how to do is enter new keys.
I haven't been able to access BEV channels for quite a while, no matter what keys I enter.
Can someone please tell me exactly what the process is to download whatever software I need to get the Nimiq satellite working?

You need to go to a site that supports your fortec and you will get the loder and bin file there try dss rookies.There is a list somewhere here of the sites.You will need a loader and a bin file, both can download free.
