Does anyone know which dvd's are best for the Philips 985 recorder? I use Maxell but have had some problems with black bars at the top of the screen, though it could be a defect in the recorder.
I have had the best luck with Fuji's. I also have the feeling we need to be using discs that are 1 to 2.4x speed (the Fuji's I have been buying at Best Buy are that speed but arent labled). The unit I have was manufactured before 4x media was being produced, so I think these machines do not support them.
