I have heard from a friend, a garbage bag over the dish works great. tie a rope from the bag so that the snow can be shaken off. Have not tried this myself. But the friend says the signal does not diminish.....

I use the motor to shake it off

I have used the clear bag before. What we did one year was tie a bag around the dish then a rope to the bag and used the rope to "shake" the bag without having to climb on top of the house. Worked great! Their are heaters, shakers and stuff out for C-BAND dishes available..

I just now stoped mid-post opened a new tab and googled "dish heater"
