What differences will I see in 12bit/108MHz video from 12bit/54Mhz?

I am looking at purchasing a Yamaha DVD-S2300 Universal player and noticed that it has a 12bit/54MHz Video DAC. I also know that some other players (i.e. Onkyo DV-SP800) have a 12bit/108MHz DAC. What kind of differences might I notice between the picture of each if both are doing their job correctly?
Also, has anyone heard of any faults that the Yamaha player has?

The difference is the amount of bandwidth available to send picture detail. You probably wont notice a difference caused by this specification alone. 54MHz is plenty to transfer a DVDs picture.
I've owned the Yamaha 2300 dvd player for quite awhile now. It's a great player and I sofar have had zero problems with it. The only thing that I don't like about it is that you can't power it on or off with a remote. You have to press the power button itself on the unit. But besides that, it's a great player.

My old DVD player (54Mhz) had 'splotchy' blacks or gradations in dark scenes. My new player (108Mhz) has none of that and the picture has noticeably less artifacts and stairstepping. I don't know if the bandwidth is the reason but both players have the same basic innards and were released about the same time.
