I screwed up my Viewsat Extereme so I tried to do a factory reset ans reinstall everything. I used in this order:

1)V0271XTREME-VIEWSAT.PG
2)Xtreme-061220X.PGM
3)satinfo.sat

This was the first time I ever used the satinfo file. When I went to scan the channels there was no onger a 8, 10 110 satallite but instead a 8,X 110W one with all Spanish stations. What the heck did I do??

Then I did another factory reset and reinstalled only the first two again. Once again I got about 150 channels that looked like they had all Spanish names so I didn't save them. Now I'm really getting worried. I'll try using an older file in the morning. This really seems like a whacky problem.

Okay, this is what I would do:

Factory reset
Load Factory Bin
Load Latest Xtreme Bin
Then scan each satellite one by one.

change your LNB settings. Make sure that your setings are the right one for your LNB. If it is Dish Pro: ocs-dp. If it is Legacy, Legacy Twin LNB1, etc.. make sure you have the proper settings for the LNB and you will get your channels back.
