Last Month had Cable company do a hook up in daughters room bringing our service up to 5 tvs and HSI connection. Picture quality was verified after hookup of additional TV, but did not check sound. Several days later, my elderly father complained of no sound from his TV, I check all settings on the tv, did verify that when the Cable is disconnected and viewing broadcast only that the audio works, while cable is connected , audio only works on "off" channels the shhhssshhh sound that accompanies "snow" and 1 channel has intermitted bad audio that can be detected with the volume at full setting.
The Cable is direct drop to each TV, NO conversion box, no theater setups, just the cable.
I called the cable company they are telling me must be a problem with the TV But I have a hard time accepting that, as the sound works on broadcast and also when I disconnect the cable and use the dvd player thru the same coax cable connection to the tv. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?
