TV Tuners

My dad was just given a new tv (Toshiba 20" tv/dvd combo). The reception from the antenna is very poor. I have a large older antenna on the roof, with a booster attached. I am wondering if there is a tuner or receiver that someone could reccomend that would improve his reception? The back of the set only has a coax (in) connection. The front also has 3 RCA (in) jacks to hook up a VCR.

Thanks for your help!

Remove the booster, get on the roof and face the antenna in the direction that offers the best picture. Stay on the roof so when your father wants to change channels he still has good reception or get a power antenna rotator.

Yeah, I tried that. His throat got sore from yelling at me to turn it when he wanted to channel surf during commercial breaks...

I've seen cheap rotors on e-bay for about $50 or it's $20 a month for the basic Sat. package.
