Hi all,

I have tried about 4 different switches in a short period of time, and they all go dead after a little use. The shortest time I have gotten out of one switch was 1 day use!!! The longest was about 4 months.

These are all normal "cheap" switches. Just wanted to know if it is worth buying the more expensive ones which are about 4x the price. Do they last 4x the time??? Any brand you recommend?

I have a pansat (don't think that makes a difference) and I live in BC, so it is quite wet around here :-)

Thanks in advance.

put in house or leave outside in TUPPERWARE container and loop the cable so water can drip into it..and never disconnect cable or switch when receiver is powere ON...use your head a little for other than a "hat rack".

do U leave your TV sitting out in the snow or rain?...if U are too lazy to move switch or get a tupperware container, then buy a waterproof switch...and Spaun make the best for over $100...
