Has anyone tried connecting Tivo to their PS2500A clone?

I just saw a great deal on Tivo and the new fixes for PS2500A all say "Moded for Hughes / Tivo ir codes". If someone has the tivo connected to their cloned PS2500a please tell me how it works?
