Hi i just got a new fortec classic but it is not programed. when i do the search i only get info and other channels that say "scrambled channel". I need help to know if the reciver needs programing or just to put in new keys and how because the channel 8585 to put keys in dosnt work
Sorry to hear that!...U just got the worse FTA receiver around...hope U don't plan on watching TV too often...manuals, guides, info and working files are a rare thing with that POS...especially workings bins which most receivers update 1 month...where that Classic is maybe updated 3 x a year with lousy files...I would give it to GOODWILL or Salvation Army, write it off on my taxes, and buy a REAL receiever like a Viewsat extreme or Extremeview magnum.....and I'm serious too...not joking!
You need to go to: http://www.al7bar-soft1.com/FTA/LIFE%20TIME%20CLASSIC-%20NA/LIFE%20TIME%20CLASSI C-NA%20MAIN.htm#Manual and download the Dnupman to get the loader. Then download the 11/15/06 bin. It has the autoroll feature as well as the updated bin needed to get you going. Be sure to have your satellite dish positioned correctly. We all make mistakes, but the reciever will work for now till the next ECM comes. The reciever is a good one, just that the support is terrible. Good luck with it.
How to Change keys on Fortec Classic Hit menu»channels»CODE»(pin 1001)»arrow left or right until Nagra Vision» if u have bev scroll down on BEV and hit. OK button»arrow down until Key Data then change keys using left-right arrow and OK, when finished, hit red button. Repeat for all 4 lines
