...and I hooked it up. Now it's not working at all. Do I have to go back outside and put it back as it was? Or is there a way I can get it to work inside the house? :-)

First of all,I need the crackpipe! and the second one: you can try,if you have clear view behind the window (outside), then, 90%, you will get some signal...

If your nuts were tightened properly, the dish would not move, even in windy weather !!!

I put my dish out when its windy...give it some fresh air for a change...then my dish is happy and works like a champ...he's my buddy, so I have to feed him kibbles and bits and give him some fresh air now and then..

Haha! Even I know that it can't work in the basement, The One! That's the most absurd bit of advice I've ever received.
I actually found out from some intelligent people that the higher I place my dish, the better signal I will receive. So I took my ladder and placed the dish high up on the chimney! What do you think?

well how is Santa gonna go in now? so just bring it down the chimney and then turn the fire on for the fire place and you will get all the hot channels...(i.e. P.orn)

The signal won't go through glass window. But it will get throught stucco walls, but not as strong. But it works. I tried it.

yes it will go thru glass..weaker signal, but will work...it will NOT go thru stucco, its not transparent!

Hey Kids ... Grow up
This Forum is for people asking for help
Show that you are a friendly user
I hate to see someone making fun for important questions.

The reason you are not getting any channels I assume is you need to do blind scan
But because it is kind of dark inside you may want to turn on the light prior to blind scan
then you can turn off your lights.

Can you tell me which room of your house do you have your setup

Sorry guys I couldn't help it!!!

My Pansat has been getting a weak signal lately. Even though there's nothing obstructing the dish. I put it up really high, there shouldn't be any problems. Strange!

Does the wind really block the signals, The One? Should I put a bag over the dish then to protect it?

Just my 2 cents here.....a few years ago I lived in a apartment that would not let me put up a dish...I showed them the FCC ruling and they would not budge so...I had a large patio sliding door all glass and put my DIR**TV dish with the pole in a bucket of cement right next to the window and got 80%....so it can be done. and yes they still bitc*ed about that as well....now we are buying a house I can have 10 dishes if I want.(we use 3 for now and getting a 33" movable one soon)

loved the humor on this thread I have been gone a few day's had computer trouble had to build a new one..so I needed a laugh.....
