There's a new revision in the stream to update all sub units & cards.
Rev 10b adds more MAP calls as well as an Eeprom call
Unknown as of yet, when or how they will implement next ECM. but it is CERTAIN, a new ECM is coming.
Viewsat coders have already been alerted and because VS bins DO contain a full rom 102 dump, they are confident it will only require wrtiting new routines for the new calls.
Max downtime is estimated to be 1 to 2 days for the rewrite, but I've been assured we will be back up swiftly this time.
Nagrastar may have made a mistake by making them get the whole MAPROM, as now they've pretty much shot their wad.
MAP 57 IS the most difficult, but we will see other MAP calls also used in conjunction w/MAP 57 very soon. IMO
Blacklist now also says he has full MAPROM as well as Viewsat. Guess we'll soon see who the industry leader is.
For their sake (VS and BL) I sure hope that they do have the full dump. If more than a week goes by without a fix, they will have no excuses. Claims of being 99% done wont be acceptable.
I have my suspicion that they dont have the full dump, but only time will tell. There are a lot of folks pinning their hopes that they are telling the truth.
I'm holding thumbs for you and hoping that my suspicion is wrong.
