I understand that the ECM has been pulled and all FTA that were not working are now open. So shouldn't the VS now fail since it was changed to counter the ECM that is no longer in place??
Good question, but the answer is not necessarily. The current VS bin should incorporate the old stream, the same one the locals work from which VS was decoding before this 'ECM' was dropped. The 'ECM' is a different coding, affecting only the channels applied to. The old coding, based on the same encryption technique should still be in the previous bin. That's why programs written for previous versions of Windows will usually work with today's XP but your XP programs 90% or more of the time will not work with previous versions. I'm sure you're not the only person that's wondered. V
what if the view*at bin was a 'SUPER' bin and lasted through whatever is gonna happen? that would be cool, huh? what do you think a vs would cost then?? hehe pretty unlikely tho i know. the bins backwards compatible anyways!
I rember the day that i open my tv i was looking for my channel(one free to air)I pass by the dead one I hear some thing I go back good news one channel back when I chek all of I was wide open only with the old bin + keys for locals logicley DN remove the encryption and VS bin has the solution for this ECM I think that if DN but again the same ECM only VS will be up again
