Doesn't need cards, readers or writers! It's the
Neosat iPro 1000

Read this post quickly and write down these urls...

h**p://www.futuredss.com

h**p://www.neosatusa.com

or read some of the major FTA forums...this website quickly removes messages
referencing Neosat and that they already have the viewing solution.

Fleabay has vendors selling them for a little over $150.

From the chat on this forum, Adam's post seem to be accurate. 110 and 119 up, the other sats not yet.
I'm not familiar with Neosats, don't know if there is a card involved or what, but they all seem to be quite happy.

This could be good news for everyone, though it may be a little too soon to start baking the Humble Pies that many will be eating after pronouncing FTA dead.

Hola Eva. Hope you're well and your internet connection is working well again.

I spoke too soon. Neosat uses card sharing from what Jaf says.

Yes I believe they call it IKS for internet key sharing. Your receiver needs to be hooked up to a computer to access a server in Korea. I Don't know much more than that.

It may be, but as for this moment, nobody has confirmed or detailed how it works.

There's a zip file called ipro_iks_beta_v09 of about 720k size available on some sites, no instructions or version data.

Since I don't have a Neosat iPro, I have no way of testing to see what may happen if I run this bin in a Neosat iPro, but I can only imagine that the bin has embedded the URL or IP to call or a user interface to program that item.

Once you power up the unit, it may request a local IP address using DHCP (almost all home Internet installations can do that), once the unit is connected to Internet, it may request upgrades/activation codes ("keys") from a specialized server. I don't know if one has to pay for the service.

It can be very easy to hide the true addresses involved by using redirectors, so the danger of being prosecuted is very low. Also, the actual data packets traveling through Internet may be encrypted, making eavesdroping an automatic felony under the DRM act.

In other sites they report about 70 open channels, with more promised by the end of the day...

This solution seems to depend in a specialized central server, I can only guess then that there's a viable solution similar to old VCIIs where you connected a PC permanently to the unit and you run part of the software at the PC and do the final decoding at the STB. An ethernet or USB port may help get the coprocessing very efficient.

Well, until somebody throws more light on the matter, these are only speculations...

Not so bad idea if they have the server in Korea,,, if they could get it to the north one, I think we will have free DN for ever ... nobody can touch them .. just kidding ... hope there will be a fix

SOFTWARE IS UPGRADABLE THRU ETHERNET PORT OR RS-232C CABLE.

Hey guys, it says "OR", that means you can dowload the bin file from PC (untraceable).

Just finished reading about Neosat iPro.
That unit does not have a "fix" yet either,

THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT "WORK", IS, IF IT IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET (ETHERNET PORT).
THE SERVER IS IN KOREA. IT WOULD BE VERY TOUGH TO GET BUSTED, BECAUSE, KOREA IS NOT ONLY DSS TESTERS, (THEY ALSO TEST NEUCS).
Owners of the iPro, connects thru "proxy" server, to route their connections to another server, which "hides" their IP address, and be more safe while enjoying FREE TV. But it should be safe enough, since the main server is in Korea, and who knows, that server might be also routed to LEBANON to ISRAEL. You think Mr. DN & Ms. Bev will take the hassle?

Neosat had a server in California, but purposedly SHUT it down a month ago for "security" reasons.

I wouldn't use an internet connection either no matter where the server is located.

Unless you have a dedicated connection meaning not with any isp or rent a house not own it you'd likely get busted for sure. (The owner of the house)
