I recently purchased my dad a Samsung DVD player, but he doesn't know about it yet and he's not going to until Christmas. Anyway, he already has a HT set up in the den. He has Bose speakers hooked up to an Onkyo reciever. I wanted to get him a DVD player but didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I bought him a Samsung DVD-M101 player. Was this a good purchase for this setup?
Sure, why not? While not exactly a PREMIUM brand, it should be fine. These things are like CD players, really--the ergonomics, remote control, and construction are the only real differentiating factors. Sure, there could be a few differences in features, but going purely on picture quality and sound quality, it should be as good as anything out there. Plus, the dude's on the RECEIVING end of the gift.
we have a samsung s224/dvd and my daughter bought a dvd area 1 and it dost work is there a code we can use and if so how as this is all new to use and we are note very good with gadgets
