I moved to a new house and it has two 18" DTV dishes tied into an Eagle ms44d 4x4 Switch. Each dish has 2 Coax cables coming out of the LNB and into the switch, I've never encountered this type of setup before. I've tried everything I can think of. I'm tryin to hit the 110 & 119 birds. I'm fine on signal level but 0% on quality level. I know it's something simple but I just can't get it. Any Ideas???

Try one of the two cables directly from the dish to the receiver with out passing throw the 4x4 Switch.

You can not using 4x4 Switch for FTA .

You need to use DiSEqC (4 or 2 input) for FTA

For 1 output

LNB 1 (1 cable) ===> DiSEqC (input)
LNB 2 (1 cable) ===> DiSEqC (input)
DiSEqC (output) ==> Receiver

hope this help

I have a diseqc 4x1 switch. since each LNB has two cables coming out of it. one for the 13v and one for the 18v, do I need to hook each one up to the the Diseqc?

use one from each lnb into switch for one receiver and the other two same thing for another receiver, total two switches to receivers Make shure u use 1&2 for one and 3&4 for the other but if you only have 1 receiver you just need 1 cable from each LNB.

Given:

LNB1 ==> A & B (Cable"A" & cable"B")
LNB2 ==> A' & B' (Cable"A'" & cable"B'")
DiSEqC [4(inputs) x 1(output)]

Connecting diagram:

With DiSEqC "1" for OUTPUT "1":

LNB1 (A) ===> DiSEqC1 (1 or any port you like)
LNB2 (A')===> DiSEqC1 (2 or any port you like)

DiSEqC (output "1") ===> Receiver 1

With DiSEqC "2" for OUTPUT "2":

LNB1 (B) ===> DiSEqC2 (3 or any port you like)
LNB2 (B')===> DiSEqC2 (4 or any port you like)

DiSEqC (output "2") ===> Receiver 2

*** Remember what port of DiSEqC you connect a
cable . Then will be assign into Receiver
for LNB setup .

Switch will say reciever on it that the cable to unit the other 4 are for dishes If you hook 1 dish to 1 then the second must go to 4. If you are pointing to Bev I would pecommend that you do this with Sat finder or you will spend day trying to find with out one.
