I just wanted you guys to know that I have been reading threads for several weeks and I am both impressed and greatfull for this site. I am relatively new to this however managed to buy and install a pansat 3500sd receiver all by reading from this site with success. Having said that, the only issue I have is that my receiver will freeze and restart from time to time. Any suggestions besides installing an older bin and reinstalling the current bin, that did not work. thanks again to all especially LK, Tyler B., Boyce and Jason Borne just to name a few.

Next time buy a box with a faster processor. Turn autoroll and transponder updater off. When you lose channels or the keys roll turn them both back on them after a few hours turn them both back off.

That could be a corrupt bin issue..freezing/restart etc...download the bin again from a site, then reload it again into receiver...sometimes the bin gets corrupted in the transfer process...and some receivers just tend to freeze with some bins too..do a factory reset first also (U will lose all channels)and do a new scan before loading the bin again..

Having installed bin 352 I have the same issue. I think that's the new bin's problem. Just wait for a new one

Doing a factory reset AND a factory bin upload, cleans up old leftover corruption in your memory in the receiver...doing a factory reset should prevent many from bin freezing and problems..

"... receiver will freeze and restart from time to time. ..."

My opinion is not thing wrong with BIN file .
Reason is your boot system hates a guy "new bin" :-)))

*** Reinstall your boot file will cure a problem .

I haven't see a "boot" file for a Pansat 3500!...factory bins yes...BOOT file NO!
