I am having problems hooking up my new Panasonic E30S DVD recorder to Dish Network. I have the PVR501 satellite receiver going to the DVD recorder via video out to video in (RF connection), S-video to S-video in on recorder, and audio out to audio in (RCA connectors). The DVD recorder then hooksup to the TV via video out to VHF in (RF connection), audio out and video out to audio in and video in (RCA connectors).
1. I have to leave the power on the DVD recorder in order to get a video signal on the TV now even if I am not going to use the recorder.
2. I can only tune in on the DVD recorder the current selected station on the PVR receiver. I thought I would be able to autoset all the channels on the DVD recorder.
Any assistance on this hookup to Dish Network would be appreciated.
