What TV would you buy?

James Ellison New member Username: Liedas Pickerington, OH United States Post Number: 4 Registered: May-06	Posted on Monday, May 29, 2006 - 22:17 GMT If you had the choice between the Samsung HLR6167W (61" SAMSUNG DLP) and the Samsung HLS6187WX/XAA (61" SAMSUNG DLP) what TV would you buy? The HLR6167W is a 720P w/ Cable Card capabilities. The HLS6187WX/XAA is 1080P NO Cable Card capabilities (I know the Samsung HLS6188WX/XAA has the Cable Card option however that TV is not avalable to me).

The 61" is a bit of a stretch for 720P, especially when it comes to standard definition. Also, The new "S" models have a 10 bit processor. The 1080P has the highest contrast ratio too.
