In general is there a difference in the expected bulb life of the Sony LCOS TVs verses the Samsung DLP TVs? How long can I expect either to last? Thanks
Ahhhh...the $100,000 question! Nobody knows! The Sony SXRDs are too new. The Samsungs use an excellent Phillips UHP Mercury lamp, but I've heard of lifetimes ranging from 400 hours to over 10,000 hours. Low hours are really the minority, though. Many factors determine lamp life in any RPTV.
