hey guys me again. ok i went to the store to check out the different prices on receivers. the guy say it don't really matter which receiver i get, they do the same thing. he suggested a eagle star 2500a pansat clone for $99, as i am now getting into the free to air hobby. now my question is would i be able to get (bell)and update support with this receiver an how good or reliable it.

for $40 more you can get the real sh*t with free diseq switch and update cable. why even mess with a clone... pansat 2700a or viewsat extreme are great.. if you dont want to spend much..

Here's the thing Adrian, if you pay for a lesser product, you're going to get a lesser product.
With the clone you would need to be very careful which bin to load, as some destroy the clones.
You also will not get some of the functionality.
Spend the extra money, and get the real deal.
Plus there is tons more support for the real deal, you can't say that for the clone.
