I just got the Pioneer 5060, and I'm wondering if the only options for 4:3 viewing are the grey sidebars and the stretch or full mode. Why couldn't they just make the sidebars black?
The side bars color have to do with the channel that you are viewing.The best option is full.That modifies the picture on the tv to fill up the screen.
