I am new to this satellite thing. I am not able to view the tv guide for BEV. It's been two weeks since I got this satellite. Has anyone has this problem? How can I rectify this? It's hard watching TV with a guide.
hey its free TV..don't complain...Subscribe, if U don't like it!...U want your cake and eat it too..U DON'T WATCH THE GUIDE U WATCH THE TV SHOWS!!...go buy a TV guide..its cheaper than subscribing..
and if U're too cheap for that, U can go to tvguide.com ...there are many sites that have the listings..

There is a new prg (v1059) that is supposed to fix this problem. There is also a recieve guide in menu. Make sure you are on a bev channel when downloading. I dont have bev but, if you keep on a channel like 500 for dishnet, except on bev, it helps the epg to populate.
bob, the channels i was talking about are A&E and space channel. leave it on one of these over night. If doesnt work do a factory default and flash 2051 factory flash. then 1059 and scan and enjoy. recieve guide and leave it on A&E.
bob what type of lnb do you have? in the mean time i will get you a start up manual. also go to these sites, they are free but you have to register. But read before you ask. Use the search! http://www.dss-newbies.net/forums/index.php
bob both of these sites are very good. go to the viewsat discusion area and look for stickys that have start up guides or a load and go. let me know if they close links
