No Headphone socket. Can I use an adaptor?

My Grandfather has recently bought a TV but because he is hard of hearing would like to use headphones (3.5mm Male Jack) so not to upset the neighbours. Unfortunately the TV has no headphone socket. The TV does have an AV SCART and a DVD SCART at the back and Audio out left and right at the front. Would something like a Dual (left and right) RCA Male to 3.5mm Female adaptor work? Is there such an adaptor?

I live in the UK but I'm sure the same thing will apply!

Thanks Very much in advance.
