Does anyone have an opinion on 50 + inch LCD rear projector tv's?? Are the rear projector type tv's better or worse than, say, LCD or Plasma?? I am getting more and more confused on what type tv to purchase. I am almost positive DLP is out, and have been considering LCOS. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the Sony SXRD (which is a varient on LCOS) rear projector tv's. Use Avia or other test discs to set color, contrast, etc., for stunning picture in high definition.

LCD and RP-LCD are virtually the same in picture quality. Though more expensive, LCD cost is going down siginificantly. Learn the lessons of those who bought RP-LCD or DLP, it costs a lot more in the long run to pay for the bulbs, not to mention sleepless nights without TV. PLasma is seriously well known for burn-in effect even when it is not permanent.
