Man do I need some help. I have: Cable box - Scientific Atlanta, Explorer 8000HD DVD Recorder - Sony RDR-GX315
My cable box has a DVR inside. With recorded programs, I have an option "Copy to VCR" Is there a way to capture recorded programs on my DVD recorder using this option?
Your setup is exactly like mine. Forget the concept Copy To VCR think of it as Out To DVD. I'm using an SA DVR with HDMI direct out to the HDTV Going to my DVD Recorder, I have Component Red-Green-Blue and Optical for Audio into the DVD Recorder. When I want to record to the DVD, I connected the Out2 side into the DVD.
