DVD Player/Recorder??

Ok guys. I need help. My VHS Video player is on it's last leg. I know that DVD's are the up and coming thing and I should probably replace the VHS player with one. However, I have a large collection of Video's, 375 to be exact. I know that my tapes will wear our sooner or later so, is there a DVD recorder thing that I can use to record my tapes onto DVD disc's? Or am I going to have to have both players, and replace the VHS tapes as they wear out?

Yes, the Panasonic DMR-E20. It records DVD-R & DVD-RAM.
