Any words of wisdon prior to Cox Cable technician coming out tomorrow?
TV is a Philips 37PF7320A/37 LCD. Cablecard is Scientific Atlanta Powerkey PMK600.
My Cablecard works. I get all of the channels I'm supposed to get. The problem is, the HD channels don't look quite HD.
I hooked up a Sciantifc Atlanta 8000HD to the first available input (AV1) for comparison. Sure enough, the picture was better and I got a 1080i note at the top of the screen, letting me know that the TV was "making hi-def".
I've called Philips. They had nothing for me. I have a hard time believing the tuner in the TV is bad, but maybe(?). There's no configuration options avilable through the TV.
I believe that the card was misconfigured, although I'm not sure that's even possible.
