The Maxent X3 is all Panasonic in glass and circuitry. Costco sold out of them in a hurry and many are wishing they would have bought it there (due to the unlimited return policy).
The TV is fantastic for the money (I spent $1700 at Costco) I also bought the MAxent 26" LCD and am using oit as I write as a computer monitor, STDTC looks great on it. I bought also the Scepter 27" LCD Costco had on sale for $550 not too long ago for the bedroom.
So all in all I have 3 HDTV for less then the cost of a Panasonic 50\' Plasma.
