Comcast HD Box Blanks Out Building Security Camera

I've had a running issue with Comcast (Evanston cable system) for 2 months. When we bought our HDTV and switched to the HD cable box, service seemed to be fine. One day noticed we suddenly weren't getting anything on Channel 6 (just the blue screen "channel not found") where our condo overwrites the local community access channel with our analog lobby camera video. My other non-HD TV in the bedroom with a regular Comcast digital box still had the camera signal. Comcast now insists there is no way I could ever have been seeing the lobby camera on the HDTV, and their solution was to put an A/B switch on the line so I can see the security camera when I switch my TV mode from component to my VCR setting. This workaround works, but I swear I was getting the lobby camera feed when the box was first installed. Is my memory playing tricks? (Only other person in our condo with an HDTV doesn't get the lobby cam either.) Thanks.
