Took delivery on 12/30 and noticed the failing pixel three days later, this sucks. I have to get real close to see it, but just knowing it's there kills me. I bought it from Tweeter, who has an excellent return/exchange policy (30 days, which I am still within). However, what is to say that the replacement unit may not have the same problem, or even more than one failing pixel? This is my first plasma, so I don't know what to expect. If the failing pixel occured after a year or more, I could probably accept. Anyone else have a similar experience with a Pio plasma? I'll probably talk to the sales guy and Tweeter and ask their advice. I am tempted to ask them to replace it now since Pioneer likely won't do anything under their warrenty. But I don't want to go through this again. Could I have just gotten a bad unit, or are failing pixels a reality no matter how much you pay? I'm sorry but for $6K I expect much better QC from Pioneer.
some guy on here took 5 1130's out of the box at tweeter before he found a good one. my friend bought one and is very happy. i bought the 930 and love it. have tweeter hook it up before you leave the store.
