I am connecting an APEX AD-1118 DVD player to a GE 27GT618 television. I connected the DVD player to the TV using the supplied composite cable. The TV has composite inputs. When I press the INPUT button on the TV, the screen goes black and displays VIDEO 00 but I don't get any image or volume from the DVD player. Do I have it connected correctly?

i have an apex tv too and i had to put it on video 02 but i have three or four different video outputs on the back of the tv does yours have more than 1 video and audio output , is the connections on the front or the back of tv?
