My father bought a 32" Sony Bravia HD TV this week. And then found out he can't get an HD cable box from Comcast till February.
In the meantime, I thought he could directly attach the cable to the back of the set and have it auto-detect all of his non-encrypted channels, including digital and HD channels.
When he tries this, the set only seems to scan the analog channels. Is this the correct behavior or is there some way to force the set to scan full range of channels? I was hoping he'd be able to see some HD before February...
