I recently got the Comcast HD DVR. I'm happy with it, but we like Tivo too (also, space is limited on the Comcast DVR due to HD recordings). Has anyone had any luck with using 2 DVR's concurrently?

I have a Toshiba Combo TiVo and Dvd player... I am not very electronically inclined and I need help... I purchased a roxio media creator 8 that is supposed to record from my TiVo box to my Toshiba Satellite Laptop Computer(has 1 gig of ddr memory, 1 gig of hard drive and a dvd reader writer) I have connected the s video from the tivo box to my laptop? THe roxio software does not seem to be working and was pricy. Do I need this software and if I don't, how can I get my childs programs I have tivo's to my laptop and onto a dvd so he can watch them on his dvd player when we travel.... we travel alot... please can anyone help me.
