i have a dvd recorder that is hooked up to my dvd player. If i play a movie can i copy that movie using the recorder? do i have to shrink it in anyway?

No, you would need a stabilizer.

Do a search for digital video stabilizer. They aren't hard to find. You'd be better off to buy a burner for the PC.

yea but im getting this for christmas i know because my brother told me my parents bought it for me so is it possibl for me to copy them from the dvd player?

You would need a stabilizer. For the price of a decent stabilizer, you could buy a burner and make better quality backups faster.

if I get a dvd burner for my PC to make copies instead of a video stabilizer what would I need to make copies from vhs?
