Hi,

I am new to the projector world and have a Philips Astaire LC6281 connected to a laptop running WinXP Home. The projector is connected by a standard VGA cable.

When I boot up the laptop, the loading sequence is displayed by the projector, once the laptop gets to the username logon screen the display on the projector goes blank.

If I load Windows using 'Safe Mode' the display is fine, although the resolution is obviously too low.

I have tried various display settings and am now confused. Could any of your experts please guide me?

Many thanks in advance,

Paul.

1. Send image to the projector using the FN+FX (Where X is the assigned number on your laptop to send signal thru the external vga port)

If you already did it and doesn't work -->

2. Check your laptop resolution and match it with the projector resolution. If your proj is SVGA use 800x600 and if it's XGA use 1024x768. If it's VGA (640x480) throw it away.

If you already did it and doesn't work -->

3. Check your laptop disply frecuency, often projs doesn't work with higher frecs (80hz and up) try send your vga signal with 60hz.

If you already did it and doesn't work -->

4. Check your laptop with a PC monitor if it's work send your proj to the techs

Hope this works. Cheers
