I randomly get a rectangle black box taking up about half of my screen on my Sylvania TV set. This just started happening, and it doesn't do it all of the time. It only happens on certain channels. Any ideas?
You can check your closed caption settings, typically within your TV menu.
Check to see if any options are set to TEXT. Set it to CAPTION 1 (that's the CC channel typically used to hold closed captioning for broadcast) and set the closed caption option to OFF. - Reinhart
