What's the problem?

I purchased a signal finder and I've hooked it up to my Pansat 2700A receiver and a dishnetwork dish, however, the light doesn't come on and the needle doesn't move. I know the finder is good because I hooked it to my Direct TV and it immediately lit up and the needle moved. I've even tried reversing the connections to no avail...what do you think is wrong?

Thanks

What is the senistivity you are talking about? Is it located on the signal finder or do i have to set it from the receiver? On the signal finder there is just one knob with "db" written above it...Are you referring to that?

Hey Mac: I am fairly new to this , but db=decibels or volume, signal strength. On the meter I have turn db sw..rgt or clckwse to increase sensitivity, turn dish until you hear meter, turn db to left as needed and continue to fine tune until strongest sig. is acheived. Good luck hope this helps.
