Have the 55in Sony projection LCD at my summer home. Normally, we keep the place heated through the winter, but with oil being as high as it is, I was considering shutting the heat off for the long New England winter. Is it OK to deep freeze these TVs? Obviously, we would disconnect the electrical connection to make sure that "off" was really off.

While your plumbing is a consideration, I've had a 20 inch LCD in a deck cabinet at the marina during some 10 degree weather with no ill effects.

Bob;

Okay, if you must turn your heat off, then drive by my home and I'll watch it. No I mean store it for you. Honestly, I'll promise not to use it. Well not too much :-)

Take care.

Don't have a real answer for you....
