Can anyone tell me how I can record copyrighted stuff from TV on a Philips DVDR610 or can point me at any websites that may assist.

Only digital signals are copyright protected. Since all DVD recorders require an analog to digital conversion you can record anything you want by using either S-Video or RCA cables as your input.

The signal is via cable decoder (digital) that is directly scarted to the DVD is there a way of rewiring to allow recording
