I'm planning on purchasing a samsung hlr 50inch tv which has a hdmi. Additionally, I'm planning on purchasing a denon dvd player with an hdmi for that tv I have a nice speaker set with an older kenwood reciever that I would like to use to combine into my theater system. My question is: will there be problems with that setup I read somewhere a long time ago that this new hdcp encription creates problems where you have to have a dvd player and a dvd receiver from the same company. I would like to save money by staying with my older receiver which I like. What is your take on this. Is sound only affected, or both the image and the sound how does that work? thanks

In particular I read somewhere that there is a problem with hdcp communication between components of different manufacturers. Is that for the visual aspect only? or is that for sound as well how does that work?
