I just purchased a Panasonic HD LCD tv and have a bit of an issue. I hooked my DVD player up to the TV using monster cable and found that the image was distorted, almost a checkered pattern across it and it was blue tinted. I tried this on both component input chanels and had the same result. The regular (yellow ;)) s-video input works fine from the dvd player and the tv seems to work fine the rest of the time. I realized that my DVD player is not progressive scan, is this the reason for my problem? I want to avoid taking components back to the store to see if they are actually working correctly.
