I have a problem:I hooked up 2 tv's in different rooms each hooked up directly from wall to an SA4200 cablebox to the tv. One room gets all proper channels but the other misses some of the premium channels. Switched boxes but the same TV still misses channels and the other tv still gets all proper channels. What's wrong?
let's play this game my way, so we know what the problem is:
TV #1, with STB #1 all channels are working properly TV #2, with STB #2 missing premium channels
You moved STB #2 to TV #1 all channels working You moved STB #1 to TV #2 missing premium channels
If this is correct, it sounds like you have a signal problem, or a bad line going to that bedroom. You would need call the cable company and have them send a tech out to troubleshoot what's causing the problem.
Thanks, Cableguy, the way you understand it is correct. One thing- on tv#2 (which misses the premiun channels) the incoming line from the wall had a splitter in it because the previous set had two tuners(PIP). I connected one of the wall cables to the STB and just left the other one unconnected. Would this affect the incoming signals and cause the missing channels? The channels are missed regardless of which cable I connect to the STB.
