I am having a strange off air reception problem with a few of my friends. They both have Wineguard antennas, properly aimed and Sony HD300 tuners, and are wired with RG6 Quad.

The problem is an inconsistant shift in signal strength (at least according to the Sony's signal meter). The signal will drop from 90-100% down to zero, repeatedly. It seems almost like an interference problem. I have gone thru both houses and cant find a source of interference. I even went as far as to turn off breakers one by one in order to find the problem.

Has anyone experienced this?

It seems to frequent to be aircraft, and both houses are located 15 miles (minimun) outside of the airport.

I have this problem on all off air channels. All are UHF except 2.1 which is phyiscal 3. Analog picture is acceptable on VHF and UHF.

Thanks for any help.
