Are the newer versions from pansat getting fried? If not which one would be best to purchase?

Either one will work fine. My 2300 is fine, up and running on NAG2 so I don't what is happening with other units, it seems like mainly 2500s are getting screwed over.

Does that mean my Multistar 2500 isn't any good now?
I live in BC Canada and have my dish pointed at Bell expressvu.
Any chance I can get my channels back?
Thanks.
