I was recently given an RF-PIO for Pioneer Cable Boxes, but no instructions with it. It's got an on and off switch, and inside one LED which displays letters and numbers, with 2 buttons below it. Is there some kind of programming involved or do you just put it in line with the box and it works on its own? I'm concerned about doing something wrong and putting the box in E2 mode. (It says on the cover "RF-PIO" Systems Tester)
You will need to enter your cable boxes serial number into the tester. You need to get the instructions on how to program it. I used to have one of those a long time ago until our cable system went digital. Sorry, I forgot how to program it. People who used to sell the RF-PIO usually charge you for instructions if you forgot how to do it.
